MISSION
Y-KNOT Inc’s. mission is to inspire and motivate youth by providing effective mentorship while stimulating knowledge, nurturing ideas creating opportunities and teaching life long lessons that will enable them to lead satisfying and rewarding lives.
Y-KNOT Inc is a non-profit volunteer-driven community support group providing mentoring programs for middle and high school youth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The program is designed out of a direct need for the growing number of youth(s) that are struggling in school, facing social issues or heavily entangled in the juvenile court system.

Mrs. Koretta Kidd McGhee
President
Koretta K. McGhee has an entrepreneurial and finance background, with more than 20 years of experience. She has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and is currently pursuing her MBA, both from Temple University. Koretta is focused on youth mentorship, and has been a Girl Scout Troop leader for 6 years, while also being involved in several local community organizations.

Mrs. Tracey Wells Huggins
Vice President
Tracey Huggins has been a nurse for over 25 years, but in 2007 she also became a staunch and dedicated activist in the fight for juvenile system transformations and its need for family engagement. She is a wife, mother, grandmother and mentor who is known across the country as an advocate, master facilitator, organizer and Motivational Speaker!

Dr. Nicole King
Secretary
Nicole King is an acupuncturist practicing in Bridgeton, NJ. Dr. King evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. Acupuncturists complete their evaluations by getting a patient history and looking at and touching the body. Then, they place very fine acupuncture needles into specific points on the body. Stimulating these points and nerves is how Dr. King treats the patient's condition. Many of the body's systems respond to acupuncture, and it can treat physical pain as well as emotional stress.

Sharmina Ellis
Sharmina Ellis is an academic, non-profit and workforce development consultant with over 20 years’ experience in higher education, K-12, training, coaching, sourcing and recruitment management. Ms. Ellis is the Executive Director for EDGE For Tomorrow-an non-profit after school academic enrichment program, serving K-5 students, with a focus on ACEs and SEL. Formally educated and trained in management, organizational leadership, and human resources, Sharmina Ellis is a dedicated leader with an extensive background in workshop facilitation, employee retention, and business, career, and curriculum development.

Mrs. Mattie Gibbons Peterson
Mattie Gibbons Peterson is a managerial professional with over 18 years of experience in Financial Services. Mattie currently works a Data and Automation Control Manager for JP Morgan Chase providing analytical support to manage and monitor day-to-day risks, compliance and financial performance of JPMC Business processes. Mrs. Peterson has previously held leadership roles with MBNA America Bank and Bank of America with discipline in Underwriting, Collections/Recovery, Debt Sales, Vendor Management and Business Controls.

Marcus Anderson
Marcus is a native of Washington DC. He earned his bachelor’s degree from THEE Hampton University. While at Hampton, he became a member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity Incorporated. After his collegiate years, he became a manager with the Campagna Kids after-school program serving kids ages 5 to 12 in Alexandria, Va. While serving as a manager for the past 15 years, he has become a member of NAA (National Afterschool Association). In addition to serving the Alexandria community, he has worked with Sasha Bruce Youth work located in Washington DC and Meals on Wheels. He is happy to be a part of YKNOT Inc. because he can positively affect more youth lives.

A creative and effective planning expert with over 20 years of experience in the highly competitive institutional research and education market, Mrs. Regina Gibbons is ready to take her knowledge, ambition and inestimable skill to the next level. After a successful ten year run as an educator, Mrs. Gibbons plans to develop her leadership skills to establish herself as the preeminent education expert. Mrs. Gibbons is a visionary with a high level of personal motivation and drive. She continues to be a strategic critical thinker who is overly passionate about views concerning education and the empowerment of our youth.

Regina Gibbons
Dr. Yasmine Bradshaw
Dr. Bradshaw is was born and raised in South Georgia and now resides in Brandywine, Maryland with her spouse, Stacey and 3 daughters; Jordyn, Kamdyn and Londyn. She is currently the CEO of Atlas Consulting Group (ACG). ACG provides human and organizational development services to federal, commercial and private sector entities. Services include professional development, coaching and strategic planning and consulting. She served as the Program Director of Organizational Development & Leadership Services within Federal Occupational Health (FOH), component of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
