Meet Our Speakers
Mrs. Brenda Hill-Riggins is the CEO of MARS Contractors, Inc., a visionary businesswoman with extensive domestic and international business interests. Since 1992, her company has partnered in construction projects totaling over $2 billion. Brenda is a philanthropic leader, dedicated to economic empowerment, job training, and professional development. She has received numerous accolades, including the President Obama Lifetime Achievement Award and recognition from President Clinton. Brenda is also an accomplished author, having published over 10 books, and a world traveler who has visited all seven continents.

Honorable Demetrica Todd-Ruiz is a distinguished judge of the New Jersey Vicinage 2 Superior Court, appointed in March 2023. She made history as the first African American Superior Court judge in Salem County, New Jersey. Demetrica has a long and impactful career in the legal profession, serving as a public defender, prosecutor, and head prosecutor for the City of Bridgeton. She holds degrees from Widener University and Rutgers Law School. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service and has been an influential educator.
