Having worked for a training organization for over 30 years, Cynthia Hawkins possesses the knowledge of various aspects within a training environment. In her role as the director of a leadership and management center, she has seen firsthand the importance of developing leaders, particularly in their youth. As a multi-cultural and generational society, learning tools to be inclusive and respecting diversity is what future leaders will require. No longer can we accept functioning in antiquated thoughts and behaviors. The need to work more cohesively is critical now more than ever. Understanding the importance of communication, building coalitions, partnering and collaborating are critical skills. Our village has expanded and there is so much value and potential in it. Ms. Hawkins’ philosophy is built on appreciating contributions people can make to change the world in which we live. The ability to do so is real and needed.
In addition to her professional career in training, she is Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certified, has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Leadership.
Ms. Hawkins is civic and community centric who serves on her homeowner’s association board in the role of Vice President and works with her local undergraduate alumni chapter. As much as possible, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Hawkins challenges us to consider the positive difference we all can make in the lives of our community, especially our youth, and do it with Y-KNOT Inc.
